Two scenes within miniature:
Gervasius of Milan: Torture -- Within architectural setting, Gervasius of Milan, nimbed, lies on floor, left hand raised to head. Above him, tormentor raises club held in right hand. Three men, including Protasius of Milan, nimbed, stand beside tormentor. One man holds hat in both hands. To left is altar surmounted by two idols carrying bannered spears. One idol holds shield with human face.
Protasius of Milan: Martyrdom -- Outside of architectural setting, within landscape, two men, one holding staff in left hand, look on as executioner raises sword above heads of Protasius of Milan, nimbed, kneeling, joined hands raised.
