Roman de la Rose: Scene, Battle with Guards of Castle -- God of Love (Eros), winged, crowned, wearing short loin cloth knotted at waist, quiver filled with arrows partly visible and slung on body, with right hand holding bow and extending left hand toward group of battling male and female Personifications, possibly including Shame, Danger and Fear, wearing gold breastplate, and Guards of Castle, some helmeted, raising spears or swords (most with only heads visible).
