Margin, left: Virgin Mary: Visitation -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, wrists crossed, standing beside Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hat over hood and pouch tied to waist, with right hand raised indicating Zacharias, wearing hat, also gesturing, beside Elizabeth, nimbed, veiled with wimple, possibly wearing Dominican nun’s habit. Scene in hilly landscape amid trees. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, inhabited by two angels flanking scene, raising opposite hands, the lower one holding scroll inscribed TE ERTUI PA (left); and half figures of two men, one wearing hat, both gesturing (upper and lower left); and bust of bearded man, amid foliage (lower).
