Initial S:
Psalm 069 (Vulg., 068) -- Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, as half figure, with right hand raised in blessing and tripartite globe in left hand, above psalmist raising joined hands toward Him, in waters on which is man with oar rowing boat with animal prow.
Figures within initial S decorated with marginal foliate extensions, one, in left margin, entwined by winged serpent, and another, in lower margin, with terminal of animal head, and scrolling tendrils enclosing monkey armed with buckler and club, and monkey holding offspring.
