1) Paul of Rome and John of Rome: refusing to worship Statue of Jupiter -- Within architectural setting, Paul and John of Rome, both nimbed, gesture toward Terentianus, hat removed, holding statue of Jupiter. Landscape with building visible beyond windows.
2) Paul of Rome and John of Rome: Martyrdom -- Within second architectural setting, two men, wearing hats, look on as executioner raises sword above Paul and John of Rome, both nimbed and wearing headbands. One saint is fallen to ground, decapited, head lying beside body. The other saint kneels, head inclined, hands joined.
