Below a plaque, framed in gold, with the inscription, CREATI IN CHRISTO JESU, a monstrance rests on an altar-table beneath curtains drawn to the sides above which hangs a candelabrum. On the reredos behind are two panels with the monograms IHS of Christ, surmounted by a cross, and MA of Maria within crowns of thorns. On either side are vases of flowers and two burning candles on candlesticks and stands. Framing the scene are two columns to which are tied emblems of the Passion, including the column, ladder, purse, and lance on the left, and, on the right, the banner inscribed SPOR, sponge, and cross. Above, curtains are drawn to the sides by golden cords. There is a quatrain below. Frame consists of bands of burnished and dull gold.
