Left column:
Pilate: washing Hands -- Pilate, wearing hat, extends hands over basin, held by left hand of man with cloth draped over his left arm. With his right hand, he holds pitcher over the basin. Christ, crossed nimbus, carrying on left shoulder, cross with blank titulus, stands before Pilate.
Caption, HORA SEXTA, is inscribed above scene.
Right column:
Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, nimbed, wearing short loincloth, is affixed with three nails to cross. He is flanked by Virgin Mary, veiled, right hand on chest; Longinus piercing His side with spear; Stephaton holding reed on which is sponge; and Holy Woman veiled, facing away from the cross.
Caption, HORA NONA, is inscribed above scene.
