Job: seated among Ashes, and Job: with Friends Three -- Job, wearing kerchief and short loin cloth, reclines on ash heap, with scroll inscribed NO[N] PECCAVI [ET] IN AMARITUDINIB[US] MORATUR OCULUS MEUS. Around Job are three friends, all wearing hats and gesturing, including Eliphaz with scroll inscribed QUIS UNQ[UAM] INNOCENS PERIIT. Behind Eliphz is nimbed monk, wearing Benedictine habit, holding scroll inscribed NO[N] O[MN]E[S] QUID[AM] PATI[UR] HOMO PERVENIT EX SUO ACTUALI PETO (sic). Scene in landscape with large house with domed towers, and castle on distant hilltop.
Margins with floreate and scroll ornament, inhabited by two fantastic animals, one winged.
