Descents of the houses of Warwick and Essex
England, 16th century

Two documents with hanging circular seals:
1) Ralph de Tony, wearing chain mail and helmet, holding raised sword in left hand and shield with Tony arms, sits astride caparisoned horse. The horse also wears the Tony arms. All enclosed in frame inscribed SIGILLVM RADVLPHI DE THONAI (equestrian seal).
2) Beauchamp of Warwick escutcheon, surrounded by passant lions, all within frame inscribed SIG[I]LLVM WILL[E]MI COMITIS WARWICIE.
Along branches of trees interspersed with leaves are roundels inscribed with names and fourteen escutcheons:
1) Lacy of Meath (or a fess gules), impaled with Bohun of Hereford and Essex (azure a bend argent between two cotises and six lions rampant or).
2) Bohun of Hereford and Essex (azure a bend argent between two cotises and six lions rampant or).
3) Bohun of Hereford and Essex (azure a bend argent between two cotises and six lions rampant or), impaled with unidentified arms (gules three pallets vair on a chief or a lion passant sable; here associated with Maud de Lusignan), surmounted by a crown.
4) FitzGeoffrey and FitzJohn (quarterly or and gules overall a bordure vair), impaled with a blank escutcheon.
5) Quincy of Winchester (gules seven mascles conjoined or), impaled with Bohun of Hereford and Essex (azure a bend argent between two cotises and six lions rampant or), surmounted by a crown.
6) Marshall (gules a bend five fusils or), impaled with Bohun of Hereford and Essex (azure a bend argent between two cotises and six lions rampant or), surmounted by a crown.
7) Bohun of Hereford and Essex (azure a bend argent between two cotises and six lions rampant or), impaled with Braose (Azure crusilly a lion double queued rampant or) surmounted by a crown.
8) Tony (argent a maunch gules), impaled with Bohun of Hereford and Essex (azure a bend argent between two cotises and six lions rampant or).
9) FitzGeoffrey and FitzJohn (quarterly or and gules overall a bordure vair), impaled with Bigod (per pale or and vert overall a lion rampant gules).
10) Lacy of Meath (or a fess gules), impaled with Bigod (per pale or and vert overall a lion rampant gules).
11) Beauchamp of Warwick (gules a fess between six crosses crosslet or), impaled with FitzGeoffrey and FitzJohn (quarterly or and gules overall a bordure vair), surmounted by a crown.
12) Tony (argent a maunch gules).
13) Joinville of Trim (azure three horse braies fesswise in pale or a chief ermine a lion rampant issuant gules; here associated with Robert Vipont of Westmoreland), impaled with Lacy of Meath (or a fess gules).
14) Verdun (or fretty gules; here associated with Theobald Botiller), impaled with Lacy of Meath (or a fess gules).
