Virgin Mary, nimbed, is seated on throne with canopy, flanked by two angels, nimbed. Nude Christ Child, crossed nimbus sits on her lap, extending His hands toward man, probably donor, kneeling with joined hands. John Baptist, nimbed, extending right hand toward Christ Child, holding with draped hand book on which is lamb, stands next to the man.
Exterior scene with wattle fence against diaper background.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament of rose and inhabited by butterfly and bird. In upper margin, scroll inscribed with first word of motto POUR [SON UOULOIR]; scroll in lower inscribed with last two words of motto [POUR] SON UOULOIR. Fragments of the motto repeated throughout decoration of border.
