Virgin Mary: Visitation -- Beneath rays issuing from arc of heaven, Elizabeth, wearing wimpled veil, extends hands to hands of Virgin Mary, nimbed, both standing on hilly shore with trees, ships and rowboats on river, and castle on hill in background.
Miniature within architectural frame, enclosing two standing figures, possibly prophets, in architectural niches.
Top of frame is inscribed NON CONFVNDANTV(R) IN ETERNVM based on Psalm 71:1 (Vulg., 70:1).
Bottom of frame is inscribed with incipit of DEVS IN ADIVTORIV(M) from Psalm 70:01 (Vulg., 69:02).
