Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, rayed nimbus, head inclined wearing crown of thorns and loin cloth, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to cross. At left, Evangelist John, nimbed, supports Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, with hands clasped. At right, Longinus of Jerusalem (the Centurion), wearing large headgear, raises right hand pointing toward Christ, and faces two men, one with hand on sword, both looking up toward Him.
