Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Virgin Mary, veiled, with rays as nimbus, sits sideways on ass and embraces infant Christ Child, with rays as nimbus, with His arm around her neck. Leading with ass is Joseph the Carpenter, wearing turban-like hat, carrying staff on his left shoulder and holding reins in right hand. Patterned background.
Miniature enclosed in fluted frame with quatrefoils at corners, within an outer frame of decorated bands, with ivy-rinceaux ornament extending into margins.
