Virgin Mary: Coronation -- Surrounded by six angels, four playing lute, harp or two trumpeters, Virgin Mary, scalloped nimbus, with joined hands raised, kneels before Christ, cross-nimbed, seated on bench, with right hand raised in blessing and left hand on tripartite globe in lap; another angel, with joined hands raised at far right. Above the Virgin, angel as half figure, emerging from cloudy arc of Heaven, lowering crown with both hands toward her head. Scene in room with decorated filigree background and tiled floor. Margins decorated with foliate and floreate ornament. Miniature at beginning of Hours of the Virgin at Compline.
