David: in Prayer -- David, wearing ermine-lined mantle and purse at waist, kneels on one knee with joined hands raised, looking upward at rays emanating from top of arch. Beside him on ground is harp; behind him are brocade cloth hanging from rod and stars in sky.
Margins with foliate and vinescroll ornament inhabited by nude wild man (?) and fantastic animal, turning head to eat strawberry.
