Christ: Entombment -- Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing loin cloth, is lowered on shroud into sarcophagus by two of three men wearing caps, including Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. One with vessel in left hand pours oil on His body, anointing Him with his right hand.
Behind them are Evangelist John, nimbed, and Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, with her wrists crossed. All are beneath lamp hung from trefoiled architectural frame.
