Christ: Crucifixion -- Within initial N, two men, standing on ladders, each raise hammer with right hand, and hold with left hand, one arm of Christ , crossed nimbus, wearing long loincloth. At left, below, Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, grasps mantle with right hand and holds book with left hand. At right, Evangelist John, nimbed, grasping mantle with right hand, holding left hand to face, turns away from the cross.
Initial decorated with foliate ornament.
