Left column:
1) Joseph the Carpenter: Dream II -- At left, Joseph, wearing hat, eyes shut, holds right hand to face. Above, half figure of descending angel holds scroll inscribed SURGE ET ACCIPE PUERU(M) ET M(AT)REM EI(US) ET FUGE IN EGIPTUM (Matthew 2:13).
2) Christ: Flight into Egypt -- At right, Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, holds wrapped in her mantle, Christ Child, crossed nimbus. She is seated on back of bridled ass. Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hat, carrying on left shoulder crutch draped with sack, walks at head of the ass and looks back at them.
Caption, SECUNDA TRISTICIA BEATE UIRGINIS, is inscribed above scene.
Right column:
1) Christ: among Doctors -- At left, three of four men wear hats, one raises right hand, all look away from Christ, crossed nimbus, raising right hand, seated on bench with footstool.
2) Christ: sought by Parents -- At right, Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, raising right hand stands opposite Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hat, raising both hands.
