Psalm 147 (Vulg., 146) -- Initial L of Laudate enclosing head of man in profile against gold background; the initial’s ascender partly formed by serpent-like hybrid animal biting frame, and descender extending across left and lower margins terminating in head of man, the whole perched on by hybrid man, wearing hood, with long neck and two-legged body of beast.
