Christ: Arrest -- Christ, crossed nimbus, stands surrounded by soldiers, wearing helmets and armor, one holding shield, four holding spears, one holding halberd.
Caption, QUARTA TRISTICIA, is inscribed above miniature.
Right column:
Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, crossed nimbus, head inclined, eyes shut, bleeding from wounds, wearing loincloth, is affixed to cross with three nails. At left, Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, stands with hands clasped, looking toward Him. At right John, nimbed, holds right hand to face, looking towards Him.
