Christ: Flagellation -- Christ, with crossed nimbus, wearing short loin cloth and crown of thorns, bleeding from wounds in torso, arms, and legs, stands with hands bound behind him to column. Flanking the Christ are two tormentors, one with purse (?) hanging from his belt, holding switches in right hand, with hat on ground, and the other, wearing hat, with left hand on sword sheathed at waist and with scourge in belt or pocket, raising scourge in right hand. On ground beside him are switches. Witnessing scene through openings in walls are helmeted soldiers with spears, and in room to left is man, wearing hat, holding saber. Scene in room with vaulted ceiling, leaded-glass windows, and tile floor.
Margins with foliate and ivy-rinceaux ornament. In left margin is vase with flowers.
