Bust of back-turned figure wearing hood, enclosed in initial U decorated with foliate ornament. Margins decorated with foliate ornament and gold balls; in lower margin man, hands crossed on breast, kneeling, looking upward, toward collect. Pen flourished initials. Text is first lesson, first nocturn for Matins on Thursday in third week of Lent.
