Miniature, upper left: 1) Christ: Last Judgment, Fifteen Signs (Thirteenth Sign) -- Beneath cloud, three figures, male and female, recline on ground beside one bearded man, partly nude, sitting up. Miniature, lower left: 2) Christ: Last Judgment, Fifteen Signs (Twelfth Sign) -- Beneath cloud issuing flames, falls 17 stars. Miniature, upper right: 3) Christ: Last Judgment, Fifteen Signs (Eleventh Sign) -- Beneath cloud, four nude men and three nude woman, all with joined hands raised, stand upright in graves. Miniature, lower right: 4) Christ: Last Judgment, Fifteen Signs (Fourteenth Sign) -- Beneath cloud issuing flames, ground is engulfed in flames. Miniatures are proofs for Bernhart Richel’s Spiegel der Menschlichen Behältnis (Basel: 1476) with biblical quotes, commentary and abbreviated extracts, written in German, for the Eleventh, Twelfth, Thirteenth and Fourteenth Signs of the Last Judgment.
