Shepherds: Annunciation -- Angel, emanating rays, holding scroll inscribed PUER NATUS EST, appears in arc of heaven in sky above two shepherds, including one kneeling, holding bagpipe in both hands, and the other with hat hanging around his neck, holding staff in left hand, and with right hand raised. Between the shepherds sits a dog. In background are flock of sheep, trees, and distant castle.
Margins with ivy-rinceaux, foliate, and vinescroll ornament, with four medallions in corners:
1) John Baptist: preaching -- John, nimbed, wearing garment of skins, gesturing, stands before three men, one kneeling with hands crossed on his breast. In background are trees and sky with stars.
2) John Baptist: preaching -- John, nimbed, wearing garment of skins, gesturing, stands before four soldiers, all wearing armor, one kneeling with joined hands raised. Diapered background.
3) John Baptist: recognizing Christ -- Christ, with crossed nimbus, stands with right hand raised before John Baptist, nimbed, wearing garment of skins, kneeling with joined hands raised. Sky with stars in background.
4) Christ: Baptism, removing Garments -- Christ, with crossed nimbus, wearing short loin cloth, removes outer garment. Before him kneels John Baptist, nimbed, wearing garment of skins, with hands on his breast. Sky with stars in background.
