Left column:
Christ: Entombment --Joseph of Arimathea, wearing hat, grasps with draped hands, shoulders of Christ, crossed nimbus, bleeding from wounds, wearing short loincloth. Nicodemus, wearing hat, grasps His feet with draped hands. They hold Him over opening of sarcophagus. Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, extends her left hand to His left shoulder; Evangelist John, nimbed, grasps her left arm with his left hand; Holy Woman, rays as nimbus, veiled, stands beside John. Behind them is cross with titulus INRI, and two nails in crossbar.Right column:
