Left column:
Magi: Adoration -- Virgin Mary, veiled, is seated on bench, holding on her lap Christ Child, crossed nimbus, raising right hand in blessing and with left hand grasping cup held by both hands of formost Magus, crowned, kneeling before them. The other two Magi, crowned, each raising right hand and holding vessel with left hand, stand behind the first.
Caption, QUARTUM GAUDIU(M) BEATE UIRGINIS, is inscribed above scene.
Right column:
Christ: Presentation -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, kneels, raising right hand and extending left hand to Christ Child, crossed nimbus, hands crossed on breast, standing on draped altar. On opposite side of the altar, Simeon, wearing clerical garb, extends both hands to the Christ Child. Woman, veiled, raising right hand and holding blank scroll with raised left hand stands behind Virgin Mary.
