Christ: Entombment -- Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus lower body of Christ, with crossed nimbus, wearing short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds, partially draped in shroud, into sarcophagus. Evangelist John, nimbed, holds left hand of the Christ to his mouth (kissing ?). Behind John stand Virgin Mary and three Holy Women, all nimbed and veiled; the Virgin Mary and one Holy Woman have joined hands raised and another covers her face with her mantle. Scene in garden with wattle fence and trees. In the background, the sun, emanating rays, sets behind hill with three tau crosses.
Margins with foliate and ivy-rinceaux ornament. In left margin are flowers in flowerpot
