Initial T of Tuam decorated with terminal of animal head, wearing hood, and enclosing entwined serpent-like hybrid animal biting the initial and partly forming ascender terminating in foliage in upper right margin. Initial D of Domine enclosing head of man against gold background; the initial bit by animal head and forming descender extending across lower margin, terminating in head of hybrid crane-like bird. Illustrated initials beginning prayers preceding Calendar, including the Salvator Mundi.
