1) Virgin Mary: Annunciation -- Archangel Gabriel, right hand raised and holding book in draped hand stands before Virgin Mary raising her right hand and grasping robe with her left hand. Both are nimbed.
Top right:
2) Christ: Nativity -- Virgin Mary reclines on bed, resting her head on her right hand; Joseph the Carpenter, wearing hat, stands at foot of bed, raising right hand. Behind bed, on foliate capital of column, Christ Child lies in manger in front of ass and ox.
Center:
3) Virgin Mary: Death -- On their shoulders, four men carry bier on which Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, lies, her hands joined in prayer on her breast.
Bottom left:
Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, rides sidesaddle holding Christ Child, cross-nimbed and wrapped in swaddling clothes. Joseph, wearing hat and carrying stick with sack or drape over left shoulder, walks beside head of ass. Tree is in background.
Bottom right:
Christ: among Doctors -- Christ, nimbed, right hand raised, stands before group of seated men, all wearing hats.
Scenes are set against blue or red background, within frame decorated with geometric ornament.
In bottom margin, monk, tonsured, kneels, looking up, his hands joined in prayer.
