Saul: advised by Samuel or Saul: reproved by Samuel -- Saul, wearing crown and robe decorated with vair, is seated with his legs crossed, on throne (?). He is holding staff in right hand and cross-surmounted globe in left hand. Below, Samuel standing, extends his right hand to touch left foot of Saul and touches his own head with his left hand.
Filigree decoration in background of scene and foliate decoration in initial and on extenders. On extender in lower margin, at left, male figure seated on foliage above insect (?) and at right, monkey on foliage.
