Christ: Deposition -- Nicodemus, with knife sheathed at his waist, balanced on arms of cross, with hammer removes nail from left hand of body of Christ, with crossed nimbus, bleeding, wearing short loin cloth, supported by man, standing on ladder, and by Joseph of Arimathea, wearing hat, standing on ground. To left sit Evangelist John, flanked by Mary Magdalen and Virgin Mary, both veiled, all nimbed.
