Roman de la Rose: Scene, Lover picking Rose -- Youthful male, possibly representing Personification of Welcome, wearing belted tunic, decorated lower leg, holds rose with right hand and with left hand raised to breast, accompanies Lover, wearing feathered cap, raising left hand to pick rose on trellis covered with roses, another trellis covered with roses to their left. Behind them, fountain mounted by nude statue of man, holding spear and shield, and with mask of putti, issuing water from mouth.
Scene in grassy garden with round building in background, trees and enclosed by crenellated wall with arched door; hilly landscape in distance.
