Roman de la Rose: Scene, followed by God of Love -- Lover, wearing feathered cap and fur-lined garments, tucks right hand in belt and with left hand touches breast, looking to right, beside winged God of Love (Eros), crowned, wearing short loin-cloth, with quiver slung over right shoulder, with right hand holding bow and with left hand raising arrow.
Both before fence with flowers, including roses, with fruit trees and hilly landscape in distance.
