Two scenes within miniature:
1) John Chrysostom: as scribe -- Within architectural setting decorated with patterned hanging, John Chrysostom, wearing cap, is seated on bench, under which are books, at writing desk. He writes with pen on folio and glances at open, inscribed book on shelf. Behind him are crozier and miter.
Room is furnished with credenza on which are vessels, books, and platter.
2) John Chrysostom: Translation of Relics -- Outside architectural setting, beyond courtyard with peacock and peahen around fountain, six monks, tonsured, backs turned, carry shrine with relics of John Chrysostom.
