Two scenes within miniature:
1) Maurice of Agaunum: Martyrdom -- On hillside, army attacks Theban Legion, some mounted, led by Maurice of Agaunum, nimbed(?), mounted, hands raised, with white cross on cuirass. Pagan soldiers, mounted and on foot, including one horseman holding standard decorated with dragon, massacre legion with daggers, swords, and a lance. To right, three soldiers, wearing armor, including two holding spears, walk away.
2) Innocent of Agaunum: recovery of Body -- In background, within ship on river, several men lift shrine of Innocent of Agaunum from waters with ropes. Second ship in background. In background is landscape with buildings.
