Two scenes within miniature:
1) Justina and Cyprian of Nicomedia: Torture -- Four men, including one with staff, stand beside cauldron in which Cyprian and Justina of Nicomedia, both nimbed, partially nude, are partially submerged. Cyprian wears miter. Justina wears veil and wimple. Two torturers stoke flames under cauldron with pitchfork and bellows. Faggot and other sticks are on ground between them.
2) Justina and Cyprian of Nicomedia: Martyrdom -- To right, two men, including one holding staff, look on as executioner raises sword above head of Cyprian (represented twice), wearing bishop's miter and vestments, kneeling, joined hands raised. Beside him, body of Justina (represented twice), nimbed, is prostrate on ground, severed head beside her.
