1) Francis of Assisi: attacked by Demons -- Demon, with face at abdomen, attacks Francis of Assisi, nimbed, wearing habit, kneeling before open book on wattled mound of earth.
2) Francis of Assisi: Self-Punishment -- Francis (represented twice), nimbed, partially nude, wearing short loin cloth, rolls in thorns, habit next to him on ground.
3) Francis of Assisi: receiving Stigmata -- Francis (represented three times), nimbed, showing wounds, receives stigmata from Christ, nimbed, on cross, as seraph. Leo of Assisi, hooded, wearing habit, is seated beside him, supporting head in left hand and resting left arm on open book.
In background is monastery, partially enclosed by wall, within landscape with river and buildings.
