Christ: Entombment -- Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, both wearing hats, lower body of Christ, with crossed rays as nimbus, wrapped in shroud, into sarcophagus inscribed IOSEPH AR[I]M[ATHEA]. Beside the sarcophagus stand Virgin Mary, veiled, with joined hands raised, and Evangelist John, both with rays as nimbus. Scene in initial H.
Margins with scattered flowers, including iris and dianthus, inhabited by butterfly and bird. Vignette at lower right:
Man, wearing hat, carrying basket on staff over his right shoulder, walks behind woman, wearing headdress, pushing wheelbarrow in which is decorated vase of oversize dianthus.
