Angel, nimbed, gesturing, stands before Evangelist Matthew, nimbed, wearing hat, seated on bench, writing with pen held in right hand on scroll in his lap. Scene in room with arched doorways.
Margins with foliate and vinescroll ornament. In lower margin is helmeted soldier, holding sword in right hand and in left hand, shield (escutcheon) with arms of Sivry (barry of twelve argent and azure).
