Initial Q:
Psalm 073 (Vulg., 072).
In left margin, male musician playing pipe and tabor, seated with feet crossed under architectural frame of tower, on top of initial Q with descender formed by fantastic animal surmounted by man wrestling with animal (Sports and Games: Wrestling), and terminating in spiralling foliate tendrils, amid which is archer, wearing cap, shooting toward bird atop tree above, all left and lower margins.
Line ending: man, in jaws of animal, with bow shooting at nude man, wearing cap, indicating hindquarters with right hand, holding stick in left hand, and looking back (Scene, Obscaena).
Line ending: three men dancing, the second with raised hands pointing to head, looking back at the first, and the third holding bagpipe (Sports and Games: Dancing).
Line ending: horned hybrid animal with two bodies.
Line ending: snail encountering soldier, wearing helmet and chain mail, armed with sword and shield, hurling javelin (Burlesque: Fighting).
Line ending: fantastic animal.
Line endings: geometric and foliate ornament.
