Roman de la Rose: Scene, Lover commanded by God of Love -- God of Love (Eros), crowned, winged and with winged feet, wearing short loin cloth knotted at side and quiver slung over right shoulder (partly visible), with right hand raises flaming torch and with left hand extends bow, perched on frame of canopied bed in which reclines Lover, wearing wrapped headgear, head on pillow and supported by right arm, beneath bedcovers.
