Upper half:
Joachim and Anna: at Golden Gate -- Anna, veiled, steps from doorway, her extended left hand grasped by right hand of Joachim, looking back over his right shoulder toward her.
Lower half:
Virgin Mary: Birth -- Anna, veiled, is seated on draped bed or chaise longue, holding with her left hand nude infant Virgin Mary, nimbed, standing, extending arms toward Anna. Opposite, emerging from cloud, is half figure of angel, nimbed, holding blank scroll with right hand and indicating Anna and Virgin Mary with left hand.
