In left panel of vignette in lower margin is flowering plant with six blossoms.
In right panel of vignette in lower margin is man, wearing hat, drinking from vessel raised in his left hand and holding plate in his lap with right hand. He sits on stool before table on which is pitcher, between two columns flanking wall hanging. Before him is another pitcher on floor and structure, possibly fireplace (Month, Occupation: January).
Amid foliate ornament in left margin are bust of man; nude, nimbed, Christ Child (?), emanating rays, laying on flower; and nude man, with child-like body, playing lute, while bird below him pecks at his groin.
Miniature and ornament executed in grisaille and gold tones with color accents.
