In upper margin, medallion enclosing bust of putto and two birds, one possibly hummingbird. In left margin, two birds, possibly hummingbird and goldfinch, and vase. In right margin, pair of putti, one blowing trumpet, the other playing cymbals, a medallion enclosing recumbent deer, and another pair of putti standing on vase, one holding drum, the other holding tambourine. In lower margin, pair of putti, each holding cornucopia and seated on dolphins, flank wreathed blank medallion. Margins decorated with floreate and vinescroll ornament. Illustrated margins at beginning of Xenophon, De Vita Tirannica, text starting with decorated inital X.
