Christ: Deposition -- Joseph of Arimathea, wearing headgear, supports body of Christ, with rays as nimbus, showing five wounds, wearing short loin cloth, lying on shroud beside crown of thorns. John the Evangelist, nimbed, supports Virgin Mary, veiled, with rays as nimbus, with joined hands, swooning toward the Christ. Nicodemus, wearing hat and fur-trimmed mantle, holding three nails in left hand, stands at the Christ's feet. In background stand Holy Women, all nimbed and veiled, at base of middle one of three crosses, with titulus with pseudo-inscription. Scene in landscape with hills, trees, and sunset.
