Zone 1:
1) Joshua: Conquest of Ai -- In combat, soldiers, in mail, some with visors or helmets, some mounted on horses, one caparisoned, one holding bannered lance, others armed with shields, lances, swords. One raises pick-axe above fallen soldier. One mounts ladder against building from which one heaves stone and one attacks with battle-axe. King of Ai, crowned, hangs from machine of war. Zone 2:
1) Joshua: League with Gibeonites -- In front of tent, four soldiers in mail, armed with swords and spear, attend Joshua in mail, wearing cap, with left hand on sword in scabbard. He raises right hand toward seven Gibeonite men, wearing tattered clothes, and woman, wearing snood. Two with purses kneel; five raise joined hands toward Joshua; and two with scourges goad two asses, one mounted. Illustration of Joshua 9:1-27.
