Miniature:
Job: seated among Ashes -- Job, nude, arms crossed at breast, is seated on ashes beside three friends, wife with arms crossed at breast, and second woman. Figures within landscape in which male figure, possibly horned, supporting himself with cane, right hand extended, encounters woman, wearing veil and wimple (Job: Messenger reporting?).
Margins with historiated border containing the following continuous scene:
Christ: Miracle of raising Lazarus -- In lower border, group of figures, including Mary of Bethany, kneeling with arms extended, and Martha of Bethany, covering mouth with draped hand, stand beside grave, with cover removed, from which Lazarus, wearing shroud, is pulled by man, kneeling on one knee, grasping his right hand. Christ, nimbed, extends right hand toward Lazarus. Behind him stand group of figures within arch of building decorated with statues of angels, one playing harp and the other viol, and three male figures within niches.
