Christ: Flagellation -- Christ, crossed nimbus, wearing short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds on body, stands with back to column, arms raised, wrists crossed and bound with rope to column. He is flanked by four torturers, three raising or swinging scourge with both hands, one wearing sword, and one bending over, tying rope around column and ankles of Christ.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament inhabited by hybrid animal with tusks, head turned back, biting hindquarters, and another hybrid animal with tusks and human legs. Text and miniature framed on three sides by gold bars decorated with flowers lattice.
