Christ: Entombment -- Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea, both holding ends of shroud, lower into sarcophagus the body of Christ, cross-nimbed, wearing short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds, with hands crossed on His abdomen. Beside the sarcophagus stand Virgin Mary, veiled, with joined hands, supported by Evangelist John, and Mary Magdalen, wearing headdress, holding ointment jar in both hands, all three with rays as nimbus. Landscape in background, with cross and ladder on hill at left.
