Scene, Liturgical: Obsequies -- In foreground is draped bier flanked by four candlesticks. Tonsured head and raised hand holding draped object is on far side of the bier. Deacon (?), tonsured, holding candle stands at right. At left are four mourners; at right are six monks, three wearing hoods, mouths open, standing behind draped lectern. Opposite the bier, priest, tonsured, wearing vestments, raising both hands, stands backturned at draped altar, below canopy. Behind the altar is reredos on which is crucifix flanked by six figures (Christ: Crucifixion).

Miniature and text surrounded by gold frame on three sides, partially decorated with floreate ornament and terminating with floreate ornament. Margins decorated with border of rinceaux, foliate and floreate ornament, including flowers growing in pot, and inhabited by mourner, seated on bench, reading open book held with both hands.
